What a great time we had helping write Christmas Cards for assisted living facilities. So many residents have reunited with lost loved ones through this ministry. Definitely a yearly project.
Christmas Party for Seniors
Once again we are blessed to have so many volunteers and donations which helped make the party at Coeur d'Alene Health and Rehab a success. Special thanks to the volunteers shown in the slides below,
Candlelight Christian Fellowship,Thrivent,
Affinity at Coeur d'Alene, Empire Airlines, Coeur d'Alene Pet Resort, Post Falls and Hayden Thrift stores.
At the party Santa handed out baskets for everyone. Games, fingernail painting, henna tattoos and pictures were taken. The residents also enjoyed personalized gifts the following week when we presented them their pictures. We were once again blessed with smiles and laughter.
The remaining gifts were given to the residents and caregivers at LaCrosse rehab by Santa and his elves. The residents were delighted as they realized that others love and care for them.
The love of our Lord was felt by all.

SILVER ANGELS FOR THE ELDERLY CARING FOR
SENIORS GIFT DRIVE
We thank God for giving us the volunteers and donations that helped make our Silver Angels for the Elderly Caring for Seniors Gift Drive a great success. A special thanks to Thrivent Financial who gave us seed money for this event and to Candlelight Christian Fellowship for their support and for the use of the church. Other major contributors are Empire Airlines, Riverstone Dental, Sower Book Store, Hayden Thrift Store and Hayden Senior Center. Individual donors will need to be contacted first to be sure they want their names listed.
We put together at least 25 baskets which were given to Post Falls Senior Center. The PFSC deliver Meals on Wheels so they know who is in the most need. The rest to the items, including flowers, stuffed animals, clothes, activity books and much more went to a rehab and a medicaid facility. Our prayer is that our lovely seniors will experience God's love through the caring gifts and the time and efforts by our volunteers.

Letter to the Editor 3/24/19
Silver Angels for the Elderly would like to thank those who helped bring joy to so many lonely elders through outreach projects at assisted living centers. Feedback has been so positive and uplifting that we wanted to share it with our friends and neighbors. Our Christmas parties enabled residents to connect with relatives and dear friend with who they had lost touch.
Monthly birthday parties and special events we host have brought joy to residents through gifts and fellowship. We are currently working on our reminisce project to help seniors share their life stories by making memory boards for their rooms.
Our hope is that we can provide more birthday presents to isolated residents in the near future.
Thanks to all our volunteers who have demonstrated love and mercy through our outreach. We also wish to thank those who contributed to our cause. May God continue to bless us all with this rewarding ministry.
